Just got back from The Chelmsford Spectacular. An annual event that takes place over the 3 day bank holiday weekend in Hylands Park, Chelmsford. Tonight was the 'Dancing Through The Decades' evening - a selection of older bands and tribute bands. This evenings line-up was:

1. The Merseybeats
2. The Real Thing
3. The Manfreds
4. The Bootleg Blues Brothers.

All of these were quite good, but the Bootleg Blues Brothers were the best by far, really getting the audience going. The Manfreds were good too, but I saw them before when they last played the Spectacular in 2000 (I think). The night was rounded off with a small but good display of fireworks, so it was quite an enjoyable evening - other than it was slightly chilly and my toes were very cold at the end of it. Even getting out of the car park was easy, and we were home by about 11:15pm.
