Well I think my cold has gone!

Only problem now is this horrible cough that it's turned into. It's quite nasty leaving me with a sore throat and an off voice so I'm on the medicine - Beecham's Veno's Honey & Lemon. Dunno if it's really doing much. Does make my throat a little better for about half an hour but that's all. So I'm also continuing with the Strepsils.

It's a bit annoying really for 2 reasons.
Firstly the fact that in my job as a receptionist, I have to talk on the phone a lot and I'm sure people don't like to hear coughing down the phone. I did manage to avoid that situation though (obviously today I did not take the day off sick).

Secondly, and this one is more annoying, is that Magic is back on air today. The ADSL has finally been activated so I could have gone live today. I don't think it's a good idea though. Plenty of rest for me. I'll go live from Tuesday of next week. It would be Monday but Kate's got tickets to the Chelmsford Spectacular.

Ordered a book off Amazon yesterday for the first time in about 18 months. It's called The Cash Cage by Corey Deitz about what goes on in radio behind the scenes. I read an extract and it looked good so I should be able to read the whole thing no later than 11 September.
