Dinner at The Honey Pot / Computer Works
20 Aug '04, 00:00
Been quite a quiet week this week. Yesterday, Kate and myself went to 'The Honey Pot' at the Festival Leisure Park, Basildon. I'm not a fan of Basildon. Too many roundabouts, poor road signs and plenty of 'Boy Racer' vehicles speeding around.
So anyway, we went to this restaurant because Kate had a money off voucher (she likes offers). Not too bad food. The starter was the best with breaded mushrooms, chicken, garlic bread and onion rings (it's a shared starter - not all for me).
Main course consisted of a nice double bacon & cheese burger with chips and more onion rings (yum!). Bit too much for me though plus the burger tasted a bit charred.
Overall, it was a reasonable dinner but nothing special. No better than a Wetherspoons - in fact Wetherspoons may be slightly better. But it was a nice evening out - noisy cars aside.
Also yesterday, I bought myself a new PSU for my PC. Certainly was a bargain - £35 for a 650W model with 3 fans running at 29dBA. Hopefully it will make my computer run cooler and therefore my room stay cooler and keep the PC's noise down a bit. By the way, the website I bought it from was www.kustompcs.com. Should be delivered on Monday.
