At long last I am back on Magic 105.
After 2 failed attempts to get my show on the air this week, I finally managed to broadcast a voicetracked show tonight between 9pm - 11pm.
Didn't go too badly. Managed to crash one vocal due to the intro lengths of a song being different on the Magic system to my system. I did manage to get 1 text message too which I shall read out on Mondays show.
So why didn't I get on-air earlier this week? Well on Monday I was at the Chelmsford Spectacular (see below), Tuesday the Magic system seemed to lock up as far as remote access was concerned so no voicetracks could be uploaded, and Wednesday I made the silly mistake of naming the playlist wrong. Instead of calling it 'love_wed.mpl', I called it 'love wed.mpl'. The system has altered slightly now so the correct way is too now name the playlist with a space, not an underscore whereas yesterday it was the other way around.
Complicated isn't it! :-)
And on a completely separate note, I cannot believe that it is September already. This year seems to be flying along. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the first signs of Christmas stock in the shops. I seem to remember it was September last year I saw some appear!
