The future of DRM protected music is increasingly in doubt. Not only have independent music specialists such as eMusic been offering MP3 downloads for a significant time, mainstream music is beginning to become available in the universal format through stores such as 7Digital, Amazon (which launched in the UK earlier this month) and Tesco Digital.

At long last Amazon has launched it's MP3 music store in the UK, providing more choice for DRM free music downloading (along with the likes of 7Digital and Play.com).

The UK Government, in all it's (cough) wisdom, has published a draft outlining browser standards that public service sites must adhere to should it be ratified. All seems well and good, until reading the proposal which states that browsers with a market share of less than 2% need not be officially supported.

As is pretty well established, I've been a Linux user for a while now and I've come to expect certain things of which one is whilst most things work, somethings can be a right pain in the derriere. Wireless networking has often been cited as a prime example of such headache inducing problems.

With a holiday coming up, I decided I couldn't put up with marks on my pictures taken with my old Sony DSC-P200 digital camera. That's why today it got replaced.
